Description :
Benzyl Propionate is a clear, colourless to slightly yellow liquid with a mild, sweet, fruity odour. It is an aromatic ester formed by the esterification of benzyl alcohol and propionic acid. This compound is valued for its pleasant fragrance and is widely used in flavour and fragrance formulations, as well as in cosmetic and personal care products.
Widely used in perfume compositions for its soft, fruity, floral scent, especially in jasmine, gardenia, and tropical blends.
Add small quantities of it to beverages and food items to give rum-like, fruity flavour, particularly in bakery and confectionery products.
It is used to make cosmetic creams, lotions, and body products for scent components because of its mellow fragrance and excellent skin compatibility.
Functions as a non-reactive solvent and chemical intermediate in organic synthesis and fragrance compound manufacturing.
Handle in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhalation of vapours or prolonged skin contact.
Use gloves and protective eyewear to prevent irritation.
Store in a cool, dry, and well-sealed container away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
