Description :
Tropathiane (commonly referred to as 2-Methyl-4-propyl-1,3-oxathiane) is an aromatic heterocyclic compound containing sulfur with the molecular formula C8H16OS that features a colorless to yellow liquid with tropical, green, galbanum-like aromatic characteristics. Tropathiane is extensively used by the industries of flavor and fragrance because of its distinct aromatic characteristics.
Tropathiane can be used as both a base note in fragrance formulations, contributing to their depth and duration, as well as a flavor enhancer by imparting tropical and green notes into food and beverage products for increased overall taste profiles. It is often blended with compounds such as Phenyl Ethyl Acetate, Linalool, and Geraniol to enhance fruity-floral accords in perfumery and flavor design.
Tropathiane can be incorporated into cosmetics such as shampoos, lotions, and soaps to give pleasant scents that last longer. Additionally, its calming aromatherapy uses promote relaxation.
High-quality Tropathiane is produced in ISO-certified facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards for flavor and fragrance applications.
