Description :
It is liquid to use Methyl Tert-Butyl Ether 1634-04-4. Tert-Butyl Methyl Ether, Mtbe, 2-Methoxy-2-Methylpropane is the name given to it. It is used in the fragrance, flavour, fragrance and aroma industries as well as the chemical, pharmaceutical and soap and detergent industries. Container should be stored with the lid tightly closed in a dry, well-ventilated area. Opened containers need to be carefully resealed and kept upright to avoid leaks. Save in a cool location.
Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) may also be used to modify 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid in synthetic reactions, potentially improving its solubility or reactivity in the development of new drug compounds or materials.
