Butyl Butyrate is a transparent, colourless liquid that has a sweet flavour that resembles pineapple. It's an ester made by the combination of butyric acid and butanol, which is found naturally in certain fruits like bananas, apples and even strawberries. It is known for its fruity flavour. Butyl Butyrate is used extensively in the fragrance, flavour, drinks, food, and cosmetic sectors. It's insoluble with water; however, it is easily soluble in oils, alcohols and organic solvents, which makes it a great solvent for mixing into formulas.
Used as a flavouring agent in juices, soft drinks, candies, chewing gums, and baked goods. Provides pineapple-like and tropical fruit notes that enhance sweetness and freshness.
Added to perfumes, deodorants, and body sprays to impart fruity, sweet aromas. Blends well with floral and citrus notes in fragrance compositions.
It is used in shampoos, lotions, and creams. It is used to increase fresh fragrance attraction. Gives you a refreshing, lasting, fruity scent in products for personal care.
Integrated into Air candle holders, air fresheners, and cleaners due to its strong, fruity fragrance.
