Description :
2-Methyl-4-heptanol is a transparent or pale yellow liquid, with a slight, lightly fat-like odour that is extensively used as a chemical intermediate that can be used in the fragrance, flavour and specialty chemical industry. It's a branched-chain alcohol which is involved in the production of aroma chemicals such as perfumery compounds, as well as fine chemical compounds. Chemical stability, pleasing smell, and the ability to mix with fragrance ingredients make it a crucial ingredient for making complex flavour and scent formulations.
2-Methyl-4-heptanol is commonly used as a building block for the synthesis of various aroma chemicals and specialty chemicals. It can be combined with Ethyl Oleate and Linalyl Formate to produce complex fragrance intermediates.
Thanks to its pleasant, fatty odour, 2-Methyl-4-Heptanol is incorporated in perfumes, cosmetics, and flavouring agents. It works synergistically with Rosalva and Phytol for enhanced olfactory profiles and flavour characteristics.
